Your True Identity

We are bombarded with images of perfect people who appear to be living the perfect life. The world sends us the message that we are not good enough, not pretty enough or not successful enough. We may even begin to question our identity as a man or a woman, and our very value as a human being. If we allow it, our minds will embrace these lies and more.

The good news is that you can be free from all the confusing messages.

You can live free from feelings of self-loathing and comparison. You can experience real love and true peace that is steadfast and permanent. You can be so transformed on the inside that the external world will no longer define who you are. You can know what it means to stop striving in an attempt to find your identity. You can have lasting peace and joy.

There is One who is calling you and loves you with an everlasting love. That someone is Jesus Christ. He is God almighty, the One who created you, and longs for you to turn your heart to Him. Your true identity is found in Him alone. Jesus is the ONLY one who heals the broken-hearted. He can set you free from any bondage of insecurity or fear. When you sincerely come to Him, He will never reject you. Never. When you ask His forgiveness, He is there to show you mercy. The Bible says, we are made complete in Christ and this wonderful truth is available to all who ask!

Sadly, many will refuse Christ’s gift of salvation and eternal life. They will follow their own way instead. Jesus warned that this way leads to judgment and hell. Demonic spirits deceive many people through offense, hurts and bitterness. God was not the author of the pain, hurt or rejection you may have experienced. People choose to hurt people. You must invite God into your heart and life in order for positive change to occur. You must make an effort to seek Him, pray, read His instruction manual for life, which is the Bible, and ask for His guidance.

Are you tired of living under the weight of life’s pressures, false expectations, fear, insecurity and confusion?  In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Will you give Him your life today? Jesus sees you. He knows everything about you and still He loves you. His love for you will never end. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done or what you’ve been through. Jesus longs to heal you, restore you and set you free. Ask Him to forgive you, and to be your Lord and Savior. Pray from your heart. I encourage you to take hold of this eternal gift today.
