You Send Yourself To Hell
We live in a world where people are increasingly taking no responsibility for their words and actions. Regardless of their own sinful behavior, they claim to be the victim, or feel entitled to profit or gain at the expense of others. Morals, ethics, and conscience seem to be rapidly deteriorating or completely absent among so many.
But what happens one day when they die? Will they really be able to justify themselves and their sin before the Lord God Almighty, Creator of the heavens and the earth?
They will be shocked to find out that they are responsible for sending themselves to hell.
The self-reliant Voltaire whose “pen was mightier than the sword,” whose intellect and honors could never be excelled, was now excelled by a stroke that was slowly causing his death….For two months he was tortured with such an agony as led him at times to gnash his teeth in impotent rage against God and man. . . . Then, turning his face he would cry out, “I must die—abandoned of God and of men!” . . . Even his nurse repeatedly said, “For all the wealth of Europe I would never see another infidel die.”
Thomas Payne, American founding father, in 1809 said in his dying breath, “What will become of me hereafter? For I am on the edge of hell here alone.”
Anton Levey in 1997, Author of the Satanic Bible, and high priest of the religion dedicated to the worship of Satan, in his dying breath said, “Oh my, Oh my, what have I done. There is something very wrong…there is some thing very wrong.”
Billy Graham said in his book, Death And The Life After, pg. 190, “Will a loving God send a man to hell? The answer from Jesus and the other teachings of the Bible is clearly, yes! He does not send man willingly, but man condemns himself to eternal hell because in his blindness, stubbornness, egotism, and love of sinful pleasures, he refuses God’s way of salvation and the hope of eternal life with Him.”
Listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew 12:37. “For by your words you will be justified, and by YOUR WORDS you will be condemned.” What you say and believe while you are alive on this earth sends you to hell. For instance when people say, “I don’t believe the Bible. I don’t believe those stupid Christians. I don’t believe in God.” Their words send them to hell.
Jesus said in John 12:48, “He who rejects Me and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.” Every day people reject God and His words.
In John 8:37, Jesus says to the unbelievers, “…you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you.” They reject Him and His words and therefore reject Eternal Life.
In John 10:25-27, The unbelievers replied, “If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me.”
Jesus raised the dead, healed the blind, the deaf and diseased and cast out devils in their midst and they still rejected Him. People do the same thing today. They hear the truth, but choose to reject it.
Jesus further explains why people reject that He is God and the only Savior.
In John 3:18-20, Jesus said, “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.”
Jesus just said that people love darkness and love living a sinful lifestyle so they hate the truth. They don’t want to turn to Jesus Christ for forgiveness because they don’t want to change or repent.
Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by Me.” Believing on Him is the only way to escape going to hell. He just said there is no other way to heaven.
Acts 13:46 states, “Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, ‘It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.’”
Acts 7:57 refers to the crowd who rejected Stephen preaching the truth about Jesus Christ. It says, “Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; and they cast him out of the city and stoned him.” Again, people choose to harden their hearts, not listen and reject Jesus Christ.
A.W. Pink wrote, “The sinner is bidden to taste and see that the Lord is good. He is freely invited to be a guest at the Gospel feast. The promise is wide and plain – Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. But if the sinner will not come to Christ that he may have life, then his blood is upon his own head. If he will not believe, then it is his own will which damns him.”
Romans 1:18-21 records why so many people send themselves to hell. “But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, evil men who push away the truth from them. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively; God has put this knowledge in their hearts. Since earliest times men have seen the earth and sky and all God made and have known of His existence and great eternal power.”
They will have no excuse when they stand before God at Judgment Day.
