You Can’t Stop The Truth

Truth is being censored, silenced and cancelled in today’s culture. The attack is glaringly evident in the world around us. Do you grow concerned that we will never know real truth again? Do you feel like hearing and declaring truth is a losing battle?

We can take heart in knowing that the power of the Truth is unstoppable.

Just look at John 18:37-38. Jesus was standing before Pilate prior to being delivered to the guards to be whipped severely and crucified. When Pilate asked Jesus if he was a king. Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”

Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?”

In John 14:6, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Truth in the flesh, God Almighty, was standing before Pilate. The scripture states that twice Pilate said he found no fault in Jesus. Pilate feared when he heard the crowd say that Jesus claimed to be the Son of God. He knew deep down Jesus was not guilty and even declared it. Pilate was under tremendous pressure to condemn The Living Truth who stood before Him.

Have you ever faced a situation where you were afraid to speak up for truth? Did you choose to remain silent in the face of what you knew was right or wrong? Today, people are being pressured to choose between what their conscience tells them, and what society is forcing on them. There is a struggle between voicing truth, or succumbing to the silencers.

In their arrogance, many people have sold their soul for money, power and fame. Psalm 94:20 says they frame or devise evil by a law. They condemn the innocent with no fear of God. In their hypocrisy, they speak out of the madness of their hearts and mock those on the side of truth.

Despite the hostility against Jesus Christ and His people, you can be confident that Truth will never be stopped. It does not bow the knee to evil. The Word of God still has the power to set the prisoner free, to heal the broken-hearted, to bring deliverance to the captives, and sight to the blind. His Word is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Psalm 18:30 tells us that the Word of the Lord is proven. It has been tested and proven true. God’s Word stands forever and will never fail.

2 Timothy 2:9 says when the apostle Paul was in prison he said, “I am suffering and have been chained like a criminal. But the Word of God cannot be chained.”

In the end, the Truth will not be silenced. The Truth is unstoppable and it will always prevail.
