The Success Of A Faithful Person

Bill Wiese

There is one word that can greatly impact your life. This word embraces character, which many do not possess today. It’s the word, faithful. A faithful person is much better off than a successful person. You might be successful in one area, but if you are not faithful, you won’t be successful in all areas. Some of the characteristics and behaviors of a faithful person are: They are disciplined. They are obedient. They’re dependable. They show respect for authority. They show up on time. They keep their word. They obey exactly what God or their employer instructs them to do.

The word success is mentioned only one time in the Bible (Joshua 1:8). The word faithful is mentioned 141 times! Proverbs 20:6 says, “A faithful man, who can find?” In other words, it’s extremely rare to find faithful people. Jesus said in Luke 16:10, “He who is faithful in what is least, is faithful also in much.” Proverbs 28:20 says, “A faithful man shall abound with blessings.” Notice that it is plural blessings. You’re blessed in all areas when you’re faithful. Psalms 31:23 says, “For the Lord preserves the faithful” and Proverbs 14:5 says, “A faithful witness will not lie.”

You can be a successful person and be a liar at the same time. Most people lie in life, and that will catch up to them sooner or later. Faithfulness is a Godly characteristic and should be highly valued. You won’t ever have to ask for a raise if you are faithful. They will notice your differences from others. You’ll always find favor and be rewarded for it.

Strive to be counted a faithful person and you will succeed in life, and you will please God.
