How often have we been convinced about a thing, and then discovered we were in error? Scientists have declared many things to be fact, only to discover they were wrong as they gained more knowledge.

In looking at the design of the universe and creation we should recognize that there must be a designer (Rom. 1:19–21). To our awareness, our earth is the only planet with life on it. Every aspect of it has been finely tuned for our benefit.

Look at the remarkable birth of a baby or the complexity of the human cell (Ps. 139:14). Consider the human body, with its symmetrical balance, its ability to heal itself and its remarkable capabilities.

Read what the Bible says about the blood. Thousands of years ago, Moses wrote: “For the life of the flesh is in the blood’ (Lev. 17:11). How could Moses have known three thousand years ago the essential role of the circulation of blood in the function of life?

Consider the vastness and the precision of the universe (Ps. 147:4; Isa. 40:12; 48:13). Observe the earth: What is turning it in such a precise and even manner? (Gen. 8:22.) What if it varied just a fraction of a degree in angle or varied its speed of turning? Catastrophic storms would develop.

How is it that the earth is simply hung on nothing (Job 26:7, 38:4; Ps. 104:5)? Science thought the earth was flat for many centuries. Yet God told us it was round 800 years before Christ was born (Isa. 40:22).

What keeps the vast oceans from moving onto the land (Gen. 9:11; Job 38:11; Ps. 104:9; Prov. 8:29)?

In Job 36:27–28, God told Job about the rain: “Which the clouds do drop and distill upon man abundantly.” How could Job have known about the water in the clouds being distilled? Most of the water vapor is from the oceans, which are full of salt. If it wasn’t distilled, it would kill plant life and man couldn’t drink it.

Look at the animal kingdom, plant life, and even the many species of fish. There are birds that fly to certain islands to procreate. There are whales that travel great distances each year. Who programmed them to do this?

Look at the laws of gravity, magnetism, electricity and the balance of the ozone layers. Scientists state that if any one of these things is off even the slightest amount, life would cease to exist.

Science tells us that in the beginning there was nothing, and then one day, nothing exploded! How scientific is that statement? Science tells us that an ape, or a slimy amoeba, or nothing at all became a man! The way scientists get us to buy this fairy tale is to simply say that it took millions of years. They add “time” to the ingredients. We think that somehow all this order will come into place over a long period of time. Yet time is actually an enemy to order and progression, if you study the facts. Evolutionists ignore this fundamental law of physics because it contradicts their theory.

The Bible states that there is a Creator. It is obvious there is intelligent design everywhere we look. To deny it, one is said by God to be a fool (Ps. 14:1; 53:1).
