No Second Chance After You Die - Soul Choice Ministries

A routine day, a normal moment—and suddenly everything ends. A woman boards a flight that never lands. A teenager is swimming one minute and suddenly drowns the next. You are not promised time. And when death comes, your opportunity to change your eternal direction is over:

No warning.
No redo.
No second chance.

When you die, there are no second chances. You will not be reincarnated. You will not go to purgatory or any transitory place to earn your way to heaven. You will not enter heaven by following some New Age philosophy or by believing you can achieve godlike status. Your good works will not grant you entrance into heaven. Worshipping dead, dumb, lifeless idols made with human hands will not save you. They are an insult to the Creator. Your belief that there is no hell will not save you from going.

In Matthew 25:46, Jesus told us there are only two eternal destinations after one dies. He said, “And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

And sadly, most people are making the wrong choice. In Matthew 7:13–14, Jesus told us that many more people go to hell than go to heaven. He said, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

Did you catch that? Jesus said few are on the road to eternal life, and many are on the road to destruction.

When a person chooses to do nothing about their afterlife, they are, in fact, choosing hell. Heaven is not our default destination. It takes a purposeful act on our part.

We are all born in sin. Every one of us falls way short of God’s standard of perfection. God is holy, just, perfect, and sinless. Sinful man is not compatible with a holy God.

We must receive a new spirit, a new heart and nature (Ezekiel 36:26), and God gives this to us when we trust in Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and not our own good works (Titus 3:5). Besides, Isaiah 64:6 says our good works are as filthy rags compared to God’s perfect standard.

Our sin separates us from God. That is why Jesus came. He came to reconcile us back to God.

Even with the millions of people who ignore, reject, and hate Him throughout the ages, He decided He would leave His perfect world to die for us. He died, was buried, and rose from the dead.

In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

And in Acts 4:12, it states, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ is available to every person.

Because God is love, He sent Jesus. But we have a free will. It is our choice where we spend eternity.

If you die without Christ, and when you take your last breath, be assured the flames of hell are real. Do you really want to enter eternity based on your own merit, your opinion, or your feelings? I hope you possess enough humility to realize you fall short of God’s standard of perfection. We all do.

Most people give no thought to the fact that they will exist forever in either heaven or hell. They do not think about the day they will stand before their Creator and give an account for their earthly life.

I urge you to please think about this today. Thousands of people die suddenly every day. Others have more time to think about their afterlife when they are diagnosed with a terminal disease. You may have a Christian in your family or a friend who is praying for you. That prayer is giving you more time to wake up and put your faith in Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 55:6 says, “Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.”

If we delay, the opportunity to respond to His invitation may run out.
