Is There Life On Other Planets?
We have been hearing more and more about UFO’s and aliens from our government lately. Ask yourself, since there have been sightings for over 50 years with little said, “why now?” We even see that Christians have begun to voice belief in alien beings and life on other planets.
There are at least eight reasons why the Bible is clear that there is no life on other planets. These next verses prove that life exists only on the earth.
1. God is always mentioned as the God of the earth, and not the God of other planets.
- Isaiah 54:5, “The God of the whole earth shall he be called.”
- Job 2:11, “He is God in heaven above, and earth beneath.”
- Isaiah 37:16, “thou hast made heaven and earth.”
- Genesis 14:19, “God, possessor of heaven and earth.”
- Deuteronomy 10:14, “the heaven of heavens is the Lord’s thy God, the earth also.”
- 2 Chronicles 2:12, “God of Israel who made heaven and earth.”
There is no mention of any other planets.
2. Isaiah 45:18, “Earth was formed to be inhabited.”
God’s Word says the “earth is inhabited” not other planets. God specifically created life only on this planet (Genesis 1) and man to dwell on it.
- Deuteronomy 4:32, “Since the day that God created man upon the earth…”
- Isaiah 45:12, “I have made the earth, And created man on it.”
- Ephesians 3:15, “of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.”
That verse says, the whole family. There is no family anywhere else besides the earth and in heaven.
- Psalm 115:16, “The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth has he given to the children of men.”
Notice, God didn’t say that He gave “other planets” to the children of men, but only the earth.
- Job 7:1, “Is there not an appointed time for man upon the earth?”
- Genesis 6:6, “And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth.”
Even Satan only pertains to the earth.
- Isaiah 14:16, “Is this the man who made the earth to tremble?”
This is referring to people seeing Satan in hell.
3. Genesis 1:14, “Planets were created for signs, seasons, days, and years.”
It doesn’t say for other life forms. Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;
4. Jesus came into the world to save sinners and not to another planet to save alien beings.
- 1 Timothy 1:15, “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.”
- 1 John 4:14, “The Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.”
- 1 John 4:9, “God sent his only begotten Son into the world that we might live through him.”
- Isaiah 45:22, “Look unto me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth.”
- Jeremiah 23:5, “I shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.”
- 1 Timothy 3:16, “God was manifested in the flesh…believed on in this world.”
Salvation through Christ is only for human beings who are all descendants of Adam on the earth, and not descendants of aliens.
- Romans 5:12, “As by one mans sin entered the world And death by sin.”
There is no death anywhere else but earth, no sin before man, no blood shed before man, no death before Abel (Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 5:21; Luke 11:50-51).
- Romans 5:18, “Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.”
Notice it says, “all men” and to the ends of the earth in Isaiah 34:22. There are no other men anywhere else besides the earth.
5. God’s attention is on the earth and human beings.
- Job 28:24, “For he looks to the end of the earth.
- 2 Chronicles16:9, “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong…
- Psalm 65:9, “You visit the earth and water it.
- Isaiah 6:3, “The whole earth is full of His glory.
- Psalm 11:9, “For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord.”
Notice again the absence of any other place mentioned and no knowledge outside of the earth.
- Romans 9:17, “My name might be declared throughout all the earth.”
6. If Extra-Terrestrials were real, they would have a sin problem and need redemption. They would have no Savior.
- 1 Timothy 1:15, “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.”
- Isaiah 45:22, “Look unto me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth.”
- Matthew 9:6, “The Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins.”
Jesus has no power to forgive sins off the earth, even if there were life on other planets.
7. Jesus became the God-man, not the God-alien. He is called, “the last Adam.”
- 1 Corinthians 15:45 “The first man Adam became a living being.”
The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
8. He died only once and paid for our sins, and only on the earth.
- Hebrews 7:27, “for this he did once when he offered up himself.”
- Hebrews 9:26, “Once has he appeared to put away sin.”
- Hebrews 10:10, “the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
Based on the scriptures, there is no life on other planets.
