God Always Provides
In my career, I have definitely experienced difficult times. There was one time in particular before I was married, when I was down to my last few dollars. I actually went through my house searching for coins and found about $50.00 worth of change. I proceeded to put all of the change in to rolls and intended to use the money to go and buy food for myself. After I got it all together I heard the Lord say to me, “Go buy food and give it to the poor.” It was about a day that I hadn’t eaten and I was hungry but I said, “Okay, Lord. All right.” I went to the store and bought the food and took it to the mission. I then came back home and prayed.
The next day I was praying in the house and getting even hungrier. Just then, I had a knock on the door. It was a neighbor from six doors down. I didn’t know who they were and I had never met them before. I only recognized them from driving by on the street. They proceeded to tell me, “We just got transferred to Europe this morning because of our jobs. Yesterday we went out and bought $500 worth of groceries and we don’t want it to go to waste.” They went on to say, “We’re health nuts. It’s all organic food and fresh fish. Would you mind taking it?” (They had no idea that I only eat healthy, organic food too). I responded, “That’s okay. I’ll take it off your hands. Thanks.” What are the chances of that happening?
I immediately thought, “Lord, you’re so good.” I gave $50.00 but I received $500 back. No matter what the situation God always provides.
