Can Sin Send You To Hell?

The only sin that sends a person to hell is the rejection of Jesus Christ, who came as the provision for our sins.

There is no individual sin that sends a person to hell. We have all sinned, and therefore need a Savior.

John 3:18 says, “He that believes not on him is condemned already.”

We are condemned already because we are all born in sin, as Psalm 51:1-5 also states.

It is not the individual sin that takes us to hell. It is our rejection of Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and our refusal to repent of our sins.

Jesus is the only One who could take our sins upon Himself, and pay the penalty of death that we deserve. Only Jesus lived a sinless life, died for us, and rose from the dead.

If we ask God to forgive us, and place our trust in what Jesus did for us on the cross, then we are forgiven. God gives us a new heart and spirit, and we avoid hell. These next Bible verses verify my statements:

2 Corinthians 7:10, Acts 3:19; 26:20; Romans 3:12; 3:23; 6:23, Ezekiel 36:26.

1 Corinthians15:3-4 reads, “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”

This is the clear message of the gospel.
