Some say there is no judgment coming for our sin. Well, if you are not a believer in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you might want to read these verses as they pertain to the afterlife:

Proverbs 11:21 says, “Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not go unpunished.”

Psalms 21:9, “The Lord shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of his anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath and the fire shall devour them.”

Proverbs 11:23, “But the expectation of the wicked is wrath.” Isaiah 63:3, “I will tread them in my anger, and trample them in my fury.”

Isaiah 66:15, “For, behold, the Lord with come with fire to render his anger with fury and his rebuke with flames of fire.”

Jeremiah 9:25, “Behold the days come, says the Lord, that I will punish them all.”

Jeremiah 30:23, “Behold the whirlwind of the Lord goes forth with fury, it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.”

Daniel 12:2, “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”

Nahum 1:2, “He reserves wrath for his enemies.”

Zephaniah 1:18, “Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord’s wrath.”

Matthew 3:7, “O, generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come.” John the Baptist is speaking.

Romans 1:18, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness.”

Colossians 3:6 says, “For which things the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.”

1 Thessalonians 1:10 says, “…Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.” This is IF we trust in him as our Lord and Savior.

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 says, “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that do not obey the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power.”

Matthew 13:40 says, “And therefore, the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be at the end of the world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and them which do iniquity, and shall cast them into a furnace of fire. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Revelation 20:12-15 says, “And the dead were judged and death and hell delivered up the death, which were in them and they were all judged and whosoever was not found written in the book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”

God instructs how to prepare for the judgment that’s coming. He tells us to repent and receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Will you be prepared to meet Him?
