Is Everything That Happens God’s Will?

Since we know that God is sovereign, does that mean everything that happens is His will? When an untimely death occurs it’s often stated at the funeral, God must have had a reason. The assumption is that God’s will was done. Is this always the case? What does the Bible reveal to us about God’s will?
