Why Do Wicked People Prosper?

Why is it that wicked people seem to prosper? There is nothing wrong with asking this question as long as we keep from envying them or fretting about it. Psalms 37 says, “Do not fret or envy the wicked. Unless they repent, we know they will end up in hell.

We may also ask, “why do many of them live a long life while others we know die tragically?” Let’s not forget that God’s great mercy is for all people. He had the same mercy for us when we didn’t know Him. 2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
