Following The Real Jesus

Following The Real Jesus

Hebrews 13:8 states, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

God said in Malachi 3:6, “For I am the Lord, I do not change.”

If God never changes, why have so many Christians attempted to reinvent Jesus to fit today’s culture? Why are the sins Jesus spoke against in scripture now considered acceptable and un-offensive?

Oddly enough, many people will even use verses from the Bible to justify their compromised theology. They say terms like repent, sin, and hell are archaic, and no longer relevant in today’s world.

According to many Christians, if Jesus walked the earth with us today, He would never promote the offensive doctrine of eternal punishment. He would accept your sins because He loves you. He would never want you to feel offended, or make you feel uncomfortable. He would say it’s ok to be a Christian and support pro-choice. He would understand that you need to base your moral decisions on your feelings, not necessarily the Bible. He would say that sexual immorality is ok in the name of grace. He would agree that all roads lead to heaven because God is loving, and no one deserves to go to hell. He would also tell you that there is no devil, and certainly no evil forces to contend with.

The only thing true about this reinvented Jesus is that His so-called teachings will lead you down a path of lies and eventually, straight to hell.

God never changes and truth never changes.

Are you following the Jesus in the Bible, or the one shaped by today’s society?
